What works well with voice

• Lighting on/off: "Turn on the kitchen lights" works reliably.
• Scene activation: "Set the living room to movie mode" — works if the scene is properly named.
• Music: "Play Spotify in the kitchen" — works well with Sonos or native streaming.
• Climate: "Set the thermostat to 72" — reliable.

What doesn't work well

• Dimming: "Dim the lights" is ambiguous (to what level?).
• Complex scenes: Too many commands in one sentence.
• Accents and children: Voice recognition struggles with non-standard accents.

Alexa vs Google vs Siri

• Google Home: Better at understanding natural language.

Voice control is a convenience layer, not the primary interface. Use keypads for the things you do every day. Use voice for the things that are inconvenient to reach a keypad for.
